Any positive test results will be considered a violation of the CorSafety Alcohol & Drug Policy, whether or not the alcohol or drugs were actually consumed on CorSafety business or premises. A positive test result, failure to report directly for a test, refusal to submit to a test, refusal to agree to disclosure of a test result to CorSafety or a confirmed attempt to tamper with a test sample are all considered violations of these testing requirements.
In the event of a positive alcohol and drug test, the individual who was tested will be notified and escorted to a safe place, the individual may be held out of service or reassigned, pending medical determination of fitness to return to work, assessment of potential alcohol and drug problem, or completion of an investigation into possible policy violation.
Individuals in violation will not be allowed to return to their positions without prior consent of CorSafety. Consideration will be given to the job function performed, the safety of the work environment and any appropriate conditions governing return of individual.
Violation of the key policy regarding use, possession, distribution and offering for sale alcohol, drugs and drug paraphernalia in the workplace, may result in immediate termination of the employee (s).
If employees are found to be in violation they will be suspended w/o pay until decisions are made pending medical determination of fitness for work.
