When handling pipe, use a clear communication system.
- When handling threaded pipe three or more inches in diameter, use a hardwood hand stick.
- When two or more people are carrying pipe, carry pipe on shoulders and walk out of step of each
- Other and carry the pipe on the same shoulder.
- When handling pipe by mechanical means; personnel will stay clear of the load.
- Keep the pipe racks in an orderly and safe condition.
- The space around pipe racks shall be kept clear of obstruction.
- Pipe racks will be pined or blocked.
- Do not park vehicles near the loading or unloading areas.
