PPE - Rules
Corsafety.ca mandates the use of Personal Protective Equipment for all of it's employees, contractors and visitors when required by industry code, working environmantal regulation, documented Job Hazard Assessment, or any other situation that may expose an individual to possible health or safety risks.

Standard Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses and steel toed work boots shall be CSA certified.

All PPE shall be inspected prior to use to ensure it is of proper working condition.

Specialized PPE such as Self Contained Breathing Equipment Kits shall be inspected and maintained as per manufactures and regulatory specifications as applicable.

Any employee found to be in violation of the PPE Policy will be subjected to disciplinary actions.

  1. PPE is only effective if it is being properly worn.
  2. It does not eliminate the hazard; it only serves as the final barrier between you and the hazard.

  3. Its purpose is to reduce the consequences of worker exposure to the worksite hazard.
