Some of the characteristics of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) are as follows:
Colorless, flammable gas found throughout Western Canada.
- It is highly toxic.
- Heavier than air which allows it to accumulate in the bottom of ditches, pits, etc.
- Smells like rotten eggs at low concentrations
- Quickly kills the sense of smell at higher concentrations.
