Workers must use only CSA approved ladders
- Place base on a stable footing and secure the ladder from movement
- Set the base of the ladder one quarter of its length from the base of the wall or structure
- Extend the ladder at least 1 meter or three rungs beyond the top bearing point
- Overlap the bottom and top sections by at least three rungs
- All ladders should be secured
