Check the work area prior to tasks
- Pick up debris and clean up all messes
- Keep walkways, doorways, and stairways free of obstructions
- Keep outside walkways clear of snow and ice
- Put tools away that are not being used
- Lay cords and cables flat
- Hand tools and equipment must not be placed on stairs or parts of the derrick
