  1. Forklift operators must remember to ensure that no personnel are inside the "Safety Bubble" when lifting and lowering load or when forklift is in motion.

  1. The Safety Bubble is a 5m area around the forklift and the load that it is carrying. If someone is in the area it is the forklift operator's responsibility to shut down operation of the forklift until the area is clear

  1. Other items to remember:

  1. Is your seat belt connected?

  1. Have you verified your attachments are properly secured

  1. Is your path of travel clear or is your load limiting your visibility, if so do you have a signal person to direct you?

  1. Did you have a Safety Meeting to ensure everyone involved with the lift fully understands the task and procedures for the lift?

  1. Was the JSA reviewed for this task?
