Responsibilities of the Driver (Carrier)
A person who, whether or not for hire or reward, has possession of dangerous goods while they are in transport.
  1. Make sure the documentation is complete and correct
  1. Make sure the labels and marking on the containers match the information on the shipping document
  1. Attaches placards, if needed
  1. Ensure all dangerous goods are loaded properly and secured
  1. Carries the correct documentation with the dangerous goods
Drivers must not accept any shipment if the documentation, markings and labels are incorrect.
Drivers must not transport dangerous goods that could leak or are in poor condition.
