The Regulations do not apply to dangerous goods that are necessary for the safety of individuals on a means of transport, or for the operation or safety of a means of containment or transport, unless the goods are forbidden for transport in Schedule 1 or Schedule 3.
- This section of the Regulations is intended to apply to goods like gasoline in the fuel tank of a means of transport, batteries or refrigeration units installed in vehicles and equipment such as fire extinguishers that are required in accordance with operating regulations for a means of transport.
