Classes
  1. When the word "class" is followed by

    (a) one digit, the class of dangerous goods listed in the schedule to the Act; and

    (b) two digits separated by a point, the class of dangerous goods listed in the schedule to the Act and its division.
    1. For example, Class 6.1 is division 1 of Class 6.

      • Not all classes have divisions.
      • Note that for explosives, as required in section 3.5, the compatibility letter must be next to the primary class number, for example, Class 1.1A or Class 1.4S.
