The following are the CorSafety Safety Rules.
 
All employees MUST wear safety glasses and safety footwear while in the plant in designated areas. Visitors must wear safety glasses and a hard hat and stay inside the marked yellow lines.
 
No one shall knowingly be permitted or required to work while his or her ability or alertness is impaired by fatigue, illness or other causes that might expose the individual or others to injury.
 
No employee is expected to undertake a job until they have received job instructions on how to do it properly and has been authorized to perform that job. OH&S regulation 14 (1) No employee should undertake a job that appears unsafe OH&S Act section 35 (1-2)
 
All machine guards and safety devices MUST be used at all times. Tampering with or otherwise circumventing (removal) and safety device is prohibited (except during maintenance OH&S code part 22 section 311 (2) and will be subject to disciplinary action by the company and/or Workplace Health and Safety. Approved protective equipment MUST be worn in specified areas.
 
Horseplay, scuffling and other acts that tend to endanger the safety or well being of employees is prohibited.
 
The practice of using compressed air to blow dust or other substances from your clothing or that of others is extremely dangerous and prohibited under OH&S Code part 10 section 171 (8d)
 
Workers shall not handle, tamper with or operate any machinery or equipment not within the scope of their duties, unless they have received instruction and training.
 
Long hair, loose or frayed clothing, dangling ties, finger rings etc. MUST not be worn around moving machinery or other places they can get caught.
 
All injuries MUST be reported promptly to your foreman and or safety coordinator so that arrangements can be made for medical and or first aid treatment.
 
Only competent and qualified personnel shall operate the forklift trucks. No employee is allowed to ride on the forklift other than the operator.
 
When operating the forklift on public streets the seat belt MUST be worn.
 
All employees will conduct general housekeeping in their relevant area.
