While each spill response will be different there are basic spill procedures that should be taken every time. Following this basic plan will minimize injury and the extent of the release.
Identify the material and its potential hazards
- Select and use the appropriate PPE
- Contain or Confine
- Recover the spill material
All spills should be reported immediately. Some spills require reporting to government agencies.
