Hazards and Controls / Vehicle Hand Signals
    1. TURNS
      • Point one arm to indicate direction to turn
      • Bend motioning arm repeatedly towards head to indicate continued turning


    2. DISTANCE TO STOPPING POINT
      • Face palms forward, with hands above head
      • Bring elbows forward and hands together


    3. PROCEED SLOWLY
      • Palms face in direction of travel
      • Bend both arms repeatedly toward head and chest, then extend


    4. CLEAR TO LEAVE AREA
      • Point at driver, gain eye contact
      • Turn and extend arms in desired direction


    5. PROCEED SLOWLY
      • Palms face in direction of travel
      • Bend both arms repeatedly toward head and chest, then extend


    6. STOP
      • Cross both arms above head


    7. EMERGENCY STOP
      • Start with hands clasped over head
      • Extend downward repeatedly until stopped
